Bottle Weaning Regression

Yes, Eugene has now refused to drink his milk from his 'Sponge Bob' straw cup (earlier 'Bottle Weaning' post)

He was doing fine until he got sick with high fever recently due to eating keropok! So since he was sick, I fed him for about 3-4 days as he was not his usual self.

Little did I think that after those few days of feeding him his milk, he now insist on either hubby or I feeding him his milk. He just absolutely refused to drink from the straw cup **sigh**.

So this morning, in order to 'force' him to self-drink, hubby gave him his milk in the 'Sponge Bob' straw cup. Eugene just absolutely refused to drink from it. Even when we told him that there will be no milky for him.

That boy har! Very stubborn. Even though he was hungry (he is always hungry first thing in the morning and always ask for his milk), he did not asked for his milk at all! Even when it was almost lunch time, he still did not ask for his milk (mind you, we did not even give any breakfast cereal or anything to him).

Aiyoh, how? In the end, we gave in and gave him his milk in his milk bottle. I guess hubby and I are too soft-hearted. Also, he had not been putting on weight. He had the same weight for the past 2 months and his paediatrician had said his weight is a bit on the low side.

Any mommies out there who are in/had been in a similar situation? Any advise or methods that I can use to get my boy off the milk bottle?
