HDB Gallery

I sometimes bring Eugene to 'walk-walk' around the HDB Hub area.

I've being to the HDB Gallery many years back and I came away rather impressed with the whole set-up. They have a walk-thru to the various type of flats that was first being built. I can't remember a lot of the details but as I've said, I was rather impressed.

So I was rather excited to show Eugene the HDB Gallery.

What happened? They had re-done the whole set-up.

These 2 show-case of the old flats were on the side of the walkway to the entrance of the gallery.
I remembered in the previous gallery, you actually walk thru the flats which was so much more interesting - you are actually standing inside the kitchen or the hall.

Hello, what's this? Posters and panels of words on the wall - who reads it? Feels like it's being put up for the sake of putting it up.

This is mostly what you get. You walk along and have these small corners which showcase the development of S'pore's housing which you can view by touching the screen in front.

A make-believe waterfall behind the pond.

See those pillars of green lights. You're supposed to read the text that're written on it - stupid - so hard to read 'cos of the light and also have questions on it for you to answer. Frankly, most people will walk right pass it.

There's a short movie shown on a 360 degree screen. Yes, this I like.

There's a booth where you can take pics of yourself and send the pics to your own email.

So disappointed with the HDB Gallery. Really, what happened?

The props that are being put up are so amateurish. The layout is terrible. There's not much thought being put into the whole set-up.

You come away feeling that because they have to have a gallery, they just put in whatever there is.

Hey HDB, bring back the previous gallery.

This present one is AMATEURISH AND BORING!!!!!!

So what do you think of the HDB Gallery, Eugene?
Yep, nothing much to see.
