So Animal

When we read to Eugene and there are animals in the story, we will usually make the animal sounds too. But I think Eugene really put two and two together when he sees the actual animals.

He have seen dogs and cats in our neighbourhood and heard the sounds they make and now can assosciate which sounds belongs to which animals.

We brought him to the zoo and showed him the elephants which he only sees on tv or in books and now he will imitate the elephant's trunk with his hands raised.

Here's his animals' sounds :

(a) Dog - still can't do the "woof, woof" - sounds more like "yow, yow"

(b) Cat - not "meow, meow" but close, - it's "neow, neow". You know that he's trying to do the "meow meow" but still can't form the M sound - see his tongue darting like a snake trying to say "meow, meow" but comes out "neow, neow".

(c) Elephant - good effort on the elephant sounds and imitating the elephant raising his trunk by raising his own hands.
