Brought the kids to the Kids Amaze at the club.
They had a blast !
Alert : There will be quite a number of the kids' pics.
At the Japanese restaurant.
At the bus-stop.
All of them are so cute !
Eugene must have learnt the 'peace' sign from his cousins as I have never taught him that.
All the cousins immediately took to each other even though they hardly see each other as one lives in the USA and two lives in Australia.
I can see that Eugene absolutely enjoy going out with them.
Usually Eugene will want to hold my hand when out but this time he didn't.
When I then tried to hold his hand, he wriggled his hand free from mine, he did not say anything but pretend that nothing happened.
I guess it ain't cool to be holding your mommy's hand when the other kids weren't.

Marshmallows Pop
18 December 2012
Been rather fascinated by cake pops. But I find the original method (crumpled cake plus frosting then mold) very tedious. Hmmm.... better do something simple and see how it goes first.
Easiest method is to use marshmallows, of cos, it won't be called cake-pop since there's no cake involved - marshmallows pop?
This is so easy-peasy that I'll let my assistant show you how ...............
(1) Poke your stick into the marshmallows.
(2) Dip it into the candy-melt (melted the candy-melt but I don't know why but mine came out all kind of stiff even after adding some oil to try to make it less hard - so I have to smear it onto the marshmallows instead of dipping :(
(3) Roll your marshmallow pop onto the sprinkles.
And that's it !
I used my colander to stick the pops upright as I don't have a styrofoam.
The kid couldn't wait and started eating it.
I permitted him only one stick.
Why? Becos it was so sweeeet ! well, at least to me.
The marshmallows were sweet, the candy-melt were sweet, the sprinkles were sweet - combine all and what have you? - ultra sweet!!!
Conclusion : no marshmallows.
I'm thinking of using oreos but oreos are kind of sweet too isn't it?
Maybe I just have to bake a cake as at least I can control the sweetness.
Till next time, maybe.......

Cousins @ Trevista condominium
16 December 2012
Hubby's cousin from USA came down with her family for Christmas and had rented an apartment at the Trevista condominium at Toa Payoh. They rented the whole apartment as her mom and
her sister and her family (from Australia) was also coming to Singapore.
I've always wondered how Trevista's like :
Very nice land-scaping (it does look a lot like the land-scaping at "8@Woodleigh" condo though).
There's even a tennis court and a small rock-climb obviously for kids.
At the side of the tennis court, there's a exercise area. But this is not the only exercise area.
Throughout the condo, there're small pockets of exercise areas or pavilions.
A nice playground for the kids - even a sand-pit.
There's the main pool, kids' pool, a rather big jacuzzi area and an exercise pool.
I find the exercise pool interesting 'cos you can do your exercise on the exercise machines which are inside the pool !
Fun time with cousin B who's just a few months younger than Eugene.
Hubby's cousin V (kid B's mom).
I must say I'm quite impressed with the grounds at Trevista.
The area's small but they have managed to do nice land-scaping in such a way that the apartments on the ground level have their privacy and pavilions. bbq and exercise areas are dotted throughout the condo's ground.
I didn't take any pics of the apartment (forgot) - but it's really, really small especially the kitchen and rooms, well, actually the whole place. Feels a bit claustrophobic as the ceiling's low.
I guess now, most new condos and HDB flats are smaller. And definitely the ceiling's lower which adds to the feel of the smallness of the place.

Paint, Bake "House"
14 December 2012
Eugene was definitely better at it this time round unlike the 1st time.
He was able to better control the paint flow and also to use the cotton buds to wipe up any excess paint and to use the toothpick to spread the paint around.
Very neat this time round.

Dinosaur Train Musical @ Marina Square, Singapore
12 December 2012
Not crowded as we went on a week-day.
The kid really enjoyed it !
This cute girl kept coming to talk to me and sat next to me instead of her father lol.....
Eugene and her had a fun time gyrating to the music.
Eugene immediately raise his hand when a volunteer was being asked.
Hubby was so amused and kept shaking his head, that the kid's not shy at all.

Some catchy songs (but I prefer the songs from 'Bob The Builder" which's more beaty)
Hear it below.

Hubby's Birthday Dinner @ Raffles Town Club
28 November 2012
Off we went for hubby's birthday dinner at "The Dining Room" at Raffles Town Club.
The restaurant is grand but unfortunately, overall the food is only so-so.
The first time I went, I had fish and it did not wow me. Thought I'll give it another try but yet their dishes do not wow me. I guess I expected more.
Hubby's chicken - quite disappointed with this dish. Chicken was small (or maybe becos it was cornish hen hence it was small) and very very small portion of veggies.
Hubby was still hungry after this.

My appetiser - think it was some duck liver or something - tasty.
My French Duck confit - a bit over fried.

Dessert was good, especially the molten lava cake.
Happy Birthday Hubby !
(next time, I'll choose the place, ya)

Hands On @ Toa Payoh Library
27 November 2012
Signed Eugene up for some handicraft conducted at the Toa Payoh library at only $2.
I don't think the kid find it exciting.
The class was conducted by some students - there was a story-telling session followed by the handicraft which was creating a heart-shape out of paper.
But I don't mind lah - it's good exposure for the students and to learn how to conduct such classes so that in future they can do it better - have to start somewhere right?
It was supposed to be " I love U Grandpa or Grandma" but the kid wanted it to be "mommy" - aww... he's such a darling.
