Central Fire Station n Civil Defence Heritage Gallery, Singapore

21 June 2014

We had wanted to visit the Central Fire Station for the longest time but always somehow never managed to get round to it.

Well, we told ourselves that we will visit it!

All the kids had fun with this as everybody got wet.

Boy ah, this is a walkie-talkie not a phone.

Looking at the different kind of water hoses. It's pretty heavy.

Eugene had the most fun with this. You actually get to turn on and off the water hose. Simulating fighting a fire.

Fire-Engines from the past.

Don't forget to go up to the 2nd level where there are more stuff to see and do.

That's hubby being thermal scanned by Eugene.

I like this red winding staircase.

It was very hot that day but it was tremendously fun for the kids.

All SCDF's fire stations, except Jurong Island Fire Station, offer open house on every Saturday from 9.00 am to 11.00 am. The tour of the fire station generally takes about an hour.

Which fire stations offer open house?

  1. Alexandra Fire Station
  2. Ang Mo Kio Fire Station
  3. Bishan Fire Station
  4. Bukit Batok Fire Station
  5. Central Fire Station
  6. Changi Fire Station
  7. Clementi Fire Station

  10. Sengkang Fire Station

We decided on the Central Fire Station as we wanted to visit the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery just next door - actually, it's literally in the same compound.

First Speech & Drama Camp @ Toa Payoh CC

12 June 2014

A very reasonably priced speech & drama camp at our local CC.

Theme was : Australia

Sitting next to Alyssa who's also his classmate in kindergarten.

The kids had only 4 hours of practice for the song skit - so, very good effort on their part.

I couldn't help laughing seeing my boy doing his dancing as it was so cute.

Sorry, the video's rather shaky as some parents were moving here and there and I have to step aside.

Eugene had a speaking part. He's the one wearing a hat.

He was Uncle Rod and his speech was : 'Hurry Up Kids! We have to leave now if you want to go to the zoo"

He was very shy lah.

Children's Season @ National Museum 2014

04 June 2014

This was too kiddy for Eugene. He just tried a few stuff and had a look around and left. More suitable for toddlers.

Now this is more challenging.! Even for the adults.

Try to manouevre the finger into the nose!

Trying to roll the ball to the centre.  Strangely, the kid liked this the best. I thought it's boring but he was at it for at least 1 hour. I think he enjoys it also because there are other kids playing it too and thus have company.

Closed for weekday :( and also it was raining earlier.
