Hubby's Birthday Dinner @ Raffles Town Club

28 November 2012

Off we went for hubby's birthday dinner at "The Dining Room" at Raffles Town Club.

The restaurant is grand but unfortunately, overall the food is only so-so.

The first time I went, I had fish and it did not wow me. Thought I'll give it another try but yet their dishes do not wow me. I guess I expected more.

My appetiser - think it was some duck liver or something - tasty.

My French Duck confit - a bit over fried.

Hubby's chicken - quite disappointed with this dish. Chicken was small (or maybe becos it was cornish hen hence it was small) and very very small portion of veggies.
Hubby was still hungry after this.

Dessert was good, especially the molten lava cake.

Happy Birthday Hubby !

(next time, I'll choose the place, ya)

Hands On @ Toa Payoh Library

27 November 2012

Signed Eugene up for some handicraft conducted at the Toa Payoh library at only $2.

I don't think the kid find it exciting.

The class was conducted by some students - there was a story-telling session followed by the handicraft which was creating a heart-shape out of paper.

But I don't mind lah - it's good exposure for the students and to learn how to conduct such classes so that in future they can do it better - have to start somewhere right?

Eugene's class-mate was there too.

It was supposed to be " I love U Grandpa or Grandma" but the kid wanted it to be "mommy" - aww... he's such a darling.

Merry Christmas Everybody !

Tickle Tickle Indoor Playground

22 November 2012

Saw this advert in 'Popular' newsletter and decided to give it a try.

It looks big in the newsletter but the place is actually pretty small.

This one's at Delta Sports Complex.

They have these different houses with different themes like Cafe, a Repair Shop, a Home and a Supermarket.

Eugene immediately scooted to the 'Repair Shop' and spent most of his time there.

We were there on a weekday and there were about 5 families including us and the area where the parents can sit are already almost full.

I cannot imagine more families as then, the adults will be standing and milling around.

The toys were strewn all over the place and not in their respective 'houses' by the children - well, to be expected.

There was an old auntie staff that day and she was strict with an older boy who was very boisterous and also she sounded me when Eugene climbed and went to the area where the older boy was because she had seen that the older boy had bullied Eugene. I then went and lingered around Eugene so that that older boy will not try anything funny. So kudos to this staff, she at least supervise the kids.

The price is very good too. $11 for Popular card member and no time limit.

Will we be back? Most probably as Eugene seemed to like it but only on a weekday.

Gardens By The Bay

11 November 2012

Finally a visit to the Gardens By The Bay.

We did not go to any of the in-house domes or the skywalk (yet), just to look-see on our first visit.

We had dinner at the 'Peach Garden Noodle' at the 'Supertree Dining' area - very delicious food as usual from Peach Garden.

The Supertrees look like a scene out of the movie 'Avatar'.

The iconic Marina Bay Sands and The Flyer next to it.

We'll be back to visit the domes another time.
