Autumn in Toa Payoh
While going to the market in the morning, we were greeted by a mass of yellow.
Yellow petals that fell from the Angsana tree. It was all over the side-walk and the drain.
I felt like I was back in Switzerland where I remember walking along a track with rows of trees on either side and the leaves falling down during autumn. It was so beautiful with the different shades of yellow, orange, red.

Chris Lee at my block
TCS is filming at my block. I can even see them acting from my service-area's windows. Saw Chris Lee and another actor but I can't remember his name.
A few days later, more actors and actresses came to film at the playground.
I find Chris Lee quite a friendly person. The 1st time I saw him was when he was in his mediacorp bus. I was wheeling E and I kaypoh try to see who's in the bus and saw him, he happened to look and kind of gave a smile. That was nice, unlike the rest where they pretend not to see you or if they do, they just look away.
Today, Chris Lee was filming again. I was carrying E downstairs for a walk and saw them filming. He looked at us and smiled and later when his acting part was done, he walked over to look at E.
He came across as a humble and friendly person and quite good-looking too, ha ha.

Pain Ah !
08 March 2009
E got bitten by an insect, think it was a mosquito a month ago on his upper arm.
It got infected and became red and swollen. Then it filled with pus and the pus was oozing out and hubby pressed out the pus for E. Then later, clear fluid came out.
Ok, so we thought it should be fine now since the pus came out but it was still kind of swollen and looked like pus again inside.
Pa-in-law, who's a dermatologist said that he will prick it and try to squeeze out the pus if any.
Pa-in-law applying some anaesthetic cream.
E looking suspiciously.
Hmm.... what's going on ?
Pa-in-law taught me the correct way of holding a baby still with our arms but my arms too skinny lah and I was not confident of holding him and keeping him still.
So hubby have to hold him.
One arm over E's both arms and the other hand on his forehead to keep it still.
Pa-in-law getting ready to prick or should I say cut!
I thought that a needle will be used to prick but it was a mini scalpel - it looked so scary !
Poor unsuspecting E.... Grand-pa going to cut now......
Owwww.....
Pa-in-law squeezing but there was no pus.
Wahhhhh.......... so pain !!!!!
My heart went out to E.....
ok, finish.......
E's was such a good boy.
Hubby said E did not put up a struggle, and he immediately stopped crying when everything's over.

I can stand !
E have been trying to pull himself up to stand for the last couple of days, but his legs were still not strong enough.
Hubby and I were also showing him where to put his hands in order to pull himself up and also correcting his leg position as he was on tip-toe instead of the foot being flat on the floor.
One night, as usual, E's trying to stand and hubby showed him where to put his hands and also help him up to standing position.
Ok, I'm getting the hang of it....
We put on his long pyjama pants for him and put him in the cot to sleep.
Guess what, when we went in to check on him about an hour later, he has managed to pull himself up !
Daddy, mommy, look! I can do it !
